• This is an extremely nice, large, and well decorated tramp art clock case. It is about 16 1/2" long by 11 1/4" high by 8" deep. It was probably made in the late 1800's to early 1900's and is in excellent condition. The pine case is decorated all over with layered chip carved cigar box wood. The front door opens revealing a rather large inner compartment that holds the old clock. This was converted from a windup to a more recent battery run, but the mechanism is not presently working. (We assume it can either be replaced or made to run fairly easily). The case has a nice dark lacquer finish which has developed a good patina. It has only a tiny amount of loss and some very slight wear. The larger pyramid on the bottom right is just a little loose. Overall this is a very good piece. The price is $1,200.00. • This is a fun, funky, and frivolous stork yard ornament. It is old, in very good condition, with good color, paint, and form. To make it even more quirky, the bird is mounted in a base made from an old Spry shortening can. This was filled with concrete. The legs, made from wood dowels, can be removed from the base. The bird has a metal strap for a neck. This is flexible so the head can bob in the breeze. The body and head are cut from 3/4" thick wood. Overall, in the base, the stork is about 38" high by 25" long. The can is 5" in diameter. It was probably from around the 1940's or 50's and stands sturdily in decorative splendor. • Here are three carved wood heads. They are all exceptionally well done with very fine detail. Who these people are is unknown. Our sense is that they represent Jesus and the two thieves. The heads are each only about 2" tall. When you look at the close-up photos it will be obvious how detailed the carving is. These have then been painted. There is a note that came with these that the carvings were done by a Florida carver. They are likely from the 1930's or earlier and are mounted on a newer base. • This is a painted wood barrel, with a slot in the lid for collections. It is decorated with red, white, blue, maroon, and silver, with the words "Elevator Fund" "Want To Walk Or Ride!", and a large hand with extended thumb. Part of the lid is hinged, to remove the collections, with a metal hasp. It stands 30" high, and is 18" in diameter at the top, about 21" in diameter at the middle. Age is c. 1940's, and it is in good display condition. Because the wood has shrunk with age, the upper metal hoop is a little bigger than the barrel, however, it is securely in place. The bottom of the barrel, and a bottom hoop are missing, but the barrel is still solid and sturdy. It makes a great end table, or start a collection for your own elevator. The price is $495.00. • This is a very well done and folky pair of carvings - a couple dancing. Both the man and woman have jointed arms which move. They have very expressive features and are done in a detailed chip-carving style. They are both painted, and the paint has aged and taken on a very nice feel. These pieces were likely done about the 1930's or 40's. The carvings are mounted on a newer wood base. The man is about 5 1/2" tall, while the woman is slightly taller. They are in generally excellent condition, with some slight wear to the paint, including an area on the right shoulder of the man. • This is a wood carving of a bird with metal legs in a wood base. The carving has "clean" lines and a very good look. This piece was likely done about the 1940's or 50's. It is painted in black and red, both of which have some crazing to the surface. The eyes are brass tacks. The bird is about 10 1/2" long by 3" wide, and stands 9" high with the base. • This is a very folky, primitive old finial post. It is wood, eight sided at the base and top, and carved to a taper in the middle. It is topped with a heavy iron post and a hand formed sheet metal cap. The entire piece is heavily weathered, with remnants of dark red paint on the wood. The metal portions have a dark oxidized surface with remnants of dark red and brown paint. It was probably made in the 1800's or very early 1900's. It has been mounted on a black wooden base. The finial is 34 3/4" high by 5" by 5" at the base; as mounted it stands 37" high by 9 3/4" by 9 3/4". The condition is very weathered, with age cracks, but strong and sturdy - very good for display. • This is a small primitive cabinet made from scrap wood, with nine drawers made from wooden cheese boxes. One drawer is divided into several smaller compartments. It was made in the 1930's, and was painted a muted green. The labels of the Kraft-Phenix Cheese Company are still visible on the sides of the drawers when they are removed. The cabinet is 10 3/4" high by 11 1/4" wide by 12" deep. The condition is very good with very minor paint wear, a few spots of lighter paint, and a few small cracks. The price is $275.00. • This is a matching pair of very well-decorated shell memory vases. The vases are cement, and are entirely covered with even rows of small shells, enhanced with floral and swirling patterns. Some of the shells are painted with red, green, blue, pink, and white. Each vase stands 7" high by 3 3/4" wide by 3 1/4" deep. They are in excellent condition, with just a few broken shells. • This is a movable metal sculpture made of two huge old iron hooks connected through a link. They came from Maine and were likely used on a large ship, possibly for holding anchor chain. One side is painted red and the other green, indicating port and starboard. This is an old, working repaint. Each hook is about 12" long by 7" wide and 1 1/2" at the thickest. They are mounted on a black, custom iron base and can be arranged in several different configurations. Age is unknown, but they are old, in excellent, used condition. The price is $150.00. • This is a wild and wonderful 5-legged tramp art stand or table. It is about 19 3/4" high by 13" by 14 1/4" across the top and 15" across the legs. The surface is extremely nice, having old oxidized gold over silver on the chip-carved and layered legs and pedestal. The round top is decorated in swirls of many colors.These look like a combination of sponge or stipple painting and then blue and white oils applied more thickly. The piece was probably made c. 1920. One of the little rectangular pieces around the top edge is missing, and there is some loss to the others. It is in otherwise excellent condition, is sturdy, and very unusual. The price is $550.00. • This carved folk art cross is built up from many individual pieces - all carved or worked on in some way. It is finished in black paint and crazed varnish with a super surface. • This is a nice round tramp art frame on a base. It could be used for a mirror, as a dresser piece, or for display. The frame is four layers deep and is constructed from pine, while the base is oak. The entire piece has been varnished. This frame is 10" high including the base, and has an opening of 5 1/4" in diameter. The layers and some of the chipping and decorative carving are highlighted in black paint. There is a small area of red velvet on top surrounding an upper triangle. The frame is in excellent condition, although there is a tiny chip on the bottom front. The base is 5" by 2 1/4", and the outside of the frame is 7" in diameter. It was probably made about the 1940's to 50's. The price is $160.00. Inventory Code: AORP.

• This is an extremely nice old tramp art frame, with very good form and design. The frame is 30 1/2" high by 22" wide, with a depth of over 3 inches. There is an inner recessed flat frame surrounding the 19 1/2" by 13 1/8" opening. From there, the frame is built out in up to 13 layers. The pyramids are each topped with an old oxidized brass tack. The double sides of the frame are each 5 layers deep and have black velvet between them. This frame came from Germany, was made in the late 1800's, and is in very good to excellent condition. It has only a tiny bit of wear, a little loss to the dark lacquer surface, and a slight chip to the glass in one corner. It includes a matted print. The back can be removed for the replacement of your choice or removal of the glass. The price is $750.00. Inventory Code: AOOA.

• This is one of two very interesting, decorative scientific display models. They both were made by the W.M. Welch company. It is an AM Radio Teaching or Demonstration Fixture - and it works. That's right, you can mount it on your wall as a sculptural object and listen to it at the same time - and, not only that, but also look at the colors and lights of the glowing vacuum tubes. It has all the circuitry painted and labeled. Just a very "cool" piece. Both this and the other display item are the same size and were likely made in the 1950's. Both have a metal tag from the University of Wisconsin. Each has a removable cover held on by hooks, and has a carrying handle. The size of the wooden box is 31 1/4" wide by 21" high, by 5 3/4" deep. There is some minor cosmetic damage to one corner of the outer case. They are both in very good condition - and have a great look. The price is $450.00 each. • This is the second of the two scientific display models. It is a Triode Tester Teaching or Demonstration Fixture. It may work, but we have no triodes to test. However, you can mount it on your wall as a sculptural object. It has all the circuitry painted and labeled. There is a small door in the back for adding batteries. Also a very "cool" piece.
  Wikipedia says "A triode is a type of vacuum tube (or valve in British English) with three elements: the filament or cathode, the grid, and the plate or anode. The triode vacuum tube was the first electrical amplification device. Triodes are largely obsolete, having been replaced by the transistor, but do still find application where power consumption and overall size are not concerns, but low component count and high power capacity are." • This is a metal worker's whimsey: a folk art smiling head made from brass found objects including pipe, plumbing fixtures, nuts, hooks, etc. The top of his "hat" screws off, and small things could be kept inside the entire pipe. The size is 10 3/4" high by 4" wide by 3 1/2" deep. It has a nice well patinated surface and is in excellent condition. The age is unknown, but is likely from the mid 1900's or earlier. • This is a very folky and rustic medicine cabinet in a carved, layered, tramp art style. The edges of each layer are cut into intricate scallops, with a different pattern for each layer. Both sides are decorated with layered wood, scallops, diamonds, and a circle. The top and back are plain. There is a door with inset mirror above a drawer. Behind the door are three shelves. It is built from 1/2" and 1/4" plywood, with pine trim. The cabinet measures 18" high, 12" wide, and 5 1/2" deep, and was probably made about the 1930's or 40's. It is in very good condition, with one small strip on the right hand edge where the top layer of plywood is missing. The price is $325.00. Inventory Code: AOHC. Front ... One side ...
