• Here are seven cast iron fence finials from the early 1900's. They have a rounded form with a peak on top, similar to onion domes. Each is 6 1/2" high by 3" in diameter, in very good condition, with varying amounts of weathered silver paint. Several have the mounting bolts, which could be removed if desired. • Here are several wonderful original Art Deco wood engraving prints done in the 1920's and 30's by John Farleigh. Farleigh was a noted and influential English artist whose work is in several major museums. The pieces available include "View of N. Y. City", "Dynamos", "Steam", "Surfing", "Diamond Head", and the original for the cover of the catalogue to the Centenary Exhibition of the Royal Institute of British Architects, (London, 1934). • Here is a sheet of the original printed metal Spam cans before they were cut out and formed. There are 30 cans on which are printed six delicious recipes, including "Polynesian Spam". A slight printing defect in one can is probably why this sheet was never used. The sheet is mounted in a metal frame which is about 34 1/4" high by 33 3/4" wide. There are some slight surface scratches and a minor denting in one area. It is old; we are not sure of the exact age, but are sure that this is a wonderful visual piece. The price is $525.00. • This is a folk art hand made model boat. It has good form and old red, white, and black paint. It is further decorated with bottle caps and jar lids. • This is a fairly large and very well done "miniature" tramp art chest of drawers. The piece has good form and detail and includes a mirror, two top layers for holding or displaying pieces, 3 drawers, and 3 smaller divided sections. It is about 22 1/2" high, 12" wide, and 10 1/2" deep, including the knobs. This chest is old, likely from the late 1800's and is made from a combination of crate wood and cigar boxes. The paint is more recent, probably 30 to 50 years old, with a good surface and slight crazing. The mirror and knobs are of a similar age as the paint. It is layered and chip carved and has nice form and size. The condition is excellent, with no loss and very slight paint wear. This piece is a well done example of tramp art. The price is $785.00. • This is a very detailed model house with accurately carved construction details, a heavy wire fence, and yard. It is also a birdhouse. It includes a carved chair and sofa on the porch. All the downstairs windows have what seems to be pictures of windows taken from magazines. These are mounted behind thin clear plastic. The fence likely was cut from a larger piece of wire mesh. The gate swings open and closed. The base (yard) is pine and the rest is a combination of pine and crate wood. The overall condition is very good - especially for the age, likely about the 1940's, and the outdoor use. However there is some slight loss to the top of the chimney and a bit of the back right roof corner was split off years ago. The entire house, yard, and fence has been painted, with no sign of repaint or overpaint. There is some natural aging, crazing, and wear in the paint. • Here is an attractive coil or wreath of old zinc barbed wire. It is about 30" in diameter and 4" thick. The wire is a twisted ribbon with points. This is old and in good condition. • This is a sculptural, 19 layer, tramp art wall pocket with mirror. It is about 16 1/2" high, 11" wide, and 5 1/4" deep. This piece was made from crate wood and painted a white enamel. It is in generally good to very good condition with a few small scrapes and a little surface wear. There is an old crack in the tip of the very bottom layer and one small missing piece to the left bottom of the mirror. This decorative and unusual wall pocket was likely made about the 1940's. • Here is a folky outsider art birdhouse with a sculptural shape. It is made of wood, has two openings, and is painted black and red. The birdhouse has not been used and is in excellent condition. • This popsicle stick bowl has colored gravel, like aquarium gravel glued down to line the bottom. The sticks are finished with a light stain or varnish. There are some darker areas inside, visible in the top view. It appears to be roughly 30 years old and is in excellent condition. The price is $25.00. Inventory Code: POKH. Image ... Another view ... • This an extraordinary, one of a kind, folk art piece. It is a very large, extremely detailed marquetry whimsey with a fraternal theme; including many carved and inlaid elements. This has so much intricate work that more things continue be seen and be appreciated even after several viewings. We have included many pictures that will convey some of the quality of this piece; however, it will still surprise and delight even more, when held in person.

  Following is just a brief description of some of what is in this piece. To be complete would take more than reasonable here. Please let your eyes tell more of the story. This work is over 49" long, 5 1/2" wide, and over 1 1/4" deep in parts. It is decorated on the sides as well as the front. It includes Crosses, Ankhs, stars, hearts, Bibles, scrolls, spears, and other Masonic, Shriner, Eastern Star, and Odd Fellows symbols. Each section is held together with carved links; and the entire carving is made from one piece of wood. There is one carved ball in cage, relief carving, and a section inlaid with bone or ivory. There are inlaid words, and letters; and it is decorated with a multitude of symbology. This piece is in extremely good condition; although not completely "perfect". There is a slight crack in one link, and one has been reglued in part. There is also a little bit of red color which is on the lowest section. There is no loss that we can see. One section has hand painted the words "Memorial Day 1947". We would date it from that time. The back is inscribed "To Vernon Thompson for Mike". • This is a three-dimensional carved airplane propeller with an electric clock mounted in the center. It is 17" high by 18 1/2" wide by 3" deep, finished in old, crazed brown and silver paint. It is signed "Ed 1952" on the back and, it is in excellent condition, one blade of the propeller is slightly loose. The clock runs, with a slight humming sound typical of an electric clock. • This is the quintessential 1960's folk music carving. It has exceptional form, detail, and color. The assemblage of 4 pieces - double tiered offset base, chair, nude, and guitar is 10 1/2" high in almost perfect condition. The base is 6" in diameter. It has a handmade title sticker of "The Ballad", and is signed TRachsler. The surface is painted in very detailed psychedelic swirls and highlights in various shades. There is very slight wear in a few places, and a barely visible line in the left leg which shows where it was cracked and reset. This is an unusual, extremely good piece. The price is $750.00. • Here is an exceptional pair of jointed limberjack carvings - a man and a woman. They have strong, primitive faces with carved ears and metal tacks for eyes. The hands are inset metal tabs which are free to turn around the iron mounting bar. These carvings are from the late 1800's or early 1900's, with well oxidized surfaces and good patina. They are in excellent condition. Each person measures approximately 10" high by 2" wide by 1 1/2" deep; total width including the bar is 19 3/4". The price for the pair is $675.00. • This is a carved wooden candle holder with hearts. It has four legs like table legs, a geometric base, and handles like a trophy. It is finished in gold and silver paints and two shades of varnish. The size is 5 1/2" high by 2 3/4" wide by 1 1/8" deep, and the condition is very good with a small loss of silver paint on one side. It seems to be about 30 to 50 years old, but could be even older. • This is a large and colorful clock case made by Howard Finster, with ink stampings of his name and address on the back. It has very good form, scalloped carving, impressed circles (from a little machine he made), and turned vertical supports in the front. It is in almost perfect condition, except that the very top of the crest has been broken. (This could be rounded easily). The top appliqued "flower" is painted red, green, and white, and around the center are diamonds highlighted in green paint. The print of the roses and the back cardboard are original. The case is 20 1/4" high, 18" wide, and 3 1/2" deep. The surface is a medium brown varnish. It was probably made about the 1960's, and overall, one of the nicer Finster cases around. • Here is a nice, colorful, and rustic birdhouse. It is 12 1/2" wide, 9 1/2" high, and 6" deep. It is made from small branches, bent twig, and pinestraw covering the A-frame roof. It has been painted a deep, dark reddish color. The birdhouse is in very good sturdy condition, old and used, and has some wear of the bark. The price is $95.00. Inventory Code: ARRP. Image ... • This is a fun and funky apartment house for birds. It is made from an old oak barrel and is decorated with pine cross pieces on top and little pine porches. There are about 12 individual compartments and hand cut openings for the birds. It has been used. The barrel is 16" in diameter, and the height to the top of cross pieces 20 1/2". They are 18" long. This birdhouse was probably made about the 1930's or 40's, but it is very difficult to tell age because of weathering. • Here are four cast iron snow eagles. They came from Pennsylvania and were probably made in the early 1900's. Each of the eagles stand 5" high and has a wingspan of 6 1/4" inches. Their bodies are 1" deep and the base is 2 3/4" deep. They are all in excellent condition, with a nice surface from age and use. These were attached to the edge of a roof to catch snow and ice.
