• This is an absolutely strong and striking folk art wood carving of a woman in a bathing suit. She stands about 39" high (including the 4" base) and is about 13" wide by 7" deep. She is very expressive, even including a carved mole on one cheek. This piece came from Coastal North Carolina and was likely made about the 1940's or earlier. The paint is good and strong and has developed a very good surface. She has had some loss to the feet and very slight surface wear, but otherwise is in excellent condition. • Here are four Canada goose yard ornaments from Maine. They are plywood cutouts, painted on both sides, with metal stakes to drive into the ground. Two have articulated heads that swivel up or down. The birds themselves range from 11" to 16" in height, and from 25" to 31" long. With the stakes included they are 17" to 23" high. Some of the stakes are a little loose. They are in appropriately used, weathered condition with varying amounts of paint wear and minor loss. The photos should be clear on this, but if you have any questions contact us. • This is a whimsical little red caboose birdhouse. It is built from wood, painted red and black, with heavy wire railings front and back. It came from Alabama, and measures 18" long by 9 1/4" deep by 12 1/4" high. It has normal weathering from outside use, and has lost a few parts over the years, including one wheel and the thin dowel perches. What remains is solid and in fine display condition. • This unusual, primitively carved whimsey has a bird in a cage. Like the more common ball in cage, it was carved from a single piece of pine with no glue or joints. The bird is free to move within the cage, but is too large to be removed from the cage. There are also two chain links through the loop at the top. It is 6 1/2" long by 1 3/8" by 1 3/8", in excellent condition. It was probably made in the early 1900's and has a very nicely oxidized natural surface. The price is $110.00. • This is an old, intricately decorated and encrusted memory jug. Built on a molasses jug, it is covered with an extraordinary assemblage including old buttons, an onyx mourning cross, shells, marbles, keys, a belt buckle, broach, stones, English coins, bottles, ceramic people, metallic objects,screws, chains, jewelry, a wishbone, and more. It is topped with a glass finial. It has a pencil eraser holder with a date of 1886 on it. The three coins are all Victorian.

  It was said that this jug had been given to a maid in the 1920's by an English family who had immigrated to the US. It is 10 inches high, 8 inches in diameter and weighs over 7 pounds. While there has been some very slight loss over the years, it is almost complete; with the items now held very securely with old putty. This is one of the very best memory jugs we have seen. It is signed in red on the bottom twice what looks likes "Mandelere". The price is $600.00. Inventory Code: AOHA.

• This tourist ware pottery planter is 4 3/4" high by 6 1/4" in diameter, with a drainage hole in the bottom. The crazed glaze is in rich blue, maroon, green, and cream, with tiny firing bubbles. • This is a good, fluid looking tramp art, double sided standing frame with a swivel mirror, and an old print of some deer opposite. The frame is constructed of pine and plywood. The curved pieces are carved pine which has been chip carved. The flat pieces are plywood - a construction we like since it gives an additional layering effect. The sides are 6 layers plus the curve, while the base and top are 5 layers each. There are additional carved wooden balls as decorative spacers. The surface is an old varnish with crazing. Overall it is in excellent condition, with a tiny chip in one corner and slight silver loss to the mirror. The size is 13 1/4" wide, 14" high, and 3 1/2" deep. It was made around the 1920's. • This is an old brass plate, deeply embossed with several Masonic symbols. It was probably made around the 1930's or a bit earlier. This piece is in excellent condition with a good aged surface. • This is a wooden bird feeder hand made in the shape of a church, from what looks like old fruit boxes; and painted an old, somewhat patinated off-white. Some of the nice touches on this piece are a hand carved and incised roof and columns, chip carving on large dowels, and decoration around the edges. The front doors open to reveal a wooden pulpit. This was probably made in the 1950's to 70's, but was kept indoors and apparently used as a decorative piece rather than as a feeder. It is in excellent condition. The price is $195.00. • Here is a whimsical old whirligig of a mule kicking a man when the fan blade propeller turns. It is made from pine, hand cut sheet metal, and metal found objects. This piece was likely made about the 1940's and is in fair condition with expected weathering, some loss to the wood and "shakiness" of the mule. However it does display well. Included is the new base and pole. The size of the whirligig itself is 20" high by 16 3/4" long, and an 18" propeller. On the base it stands 19 1/4" long, 11 3/4" wide and 24 1/4" high. • Here is a very nice little framed postage stamp and watercolor painting. The scene is of the ocean with a large rock made out of stamps, while the rest - shoreline, birds, people, sea, and sky are painted. It is signed F. M. M. and dated 1938. On the back is written, in French, details of where it was made, in Quebec, and apparently at an abbey or monastery. This was probably sold to make some money for it. The condition of the frame and painting are excellent. There is a tear in the backing paper. The frame is 6 1/2" wide by 4 1/2" high. The price is $125.00. Inventory Code: ATAP. Front ... • This is a detailed and wonderfully painted model swing made out of twig. The twigs are incised and painted, and it does swing. • This free-standing tramp art cross has excellent design and workmanship. It is decorated with several styles of chip-carving, with mirrors set into the round medallions at the ends of the arms; painted an old, oxidized gold. From the 1920's, it is 21" high by 11 1/2" wide by 3 1/2" deep. One mirror is missing, and there are one small layer and one very small chip missing, otherwise excellent condition. • A Santo carving of Mary, from the late 1800's, Mexican. She is in weathered gray/blue and cream paint, mounted in a wooden altar. Overall size is 21 3/4" high by 18 1/2" wide by 9" deep, Mary is 14" high. The altar is in good condition, with minor damage; Mary is in very good condition. The price is $650.00. • Here are two nice iron cultivator blades with a shape like a spiral galaxy. 12" in diameter and 1" deep, with 10" arms. These are very decorative pieces; old; and in good condition. They have some remnants of cream or light tan paint on one side, the rest is a weathered old iron surface. Only one is pictured; if you would like photos of the other, let us know. • This stylized dog is a brick end of day carving made in southern Pennsylvania at a brickwork. The workers took leftover fired, soft material at the end of the day and carved them into forms. The material is somewhat soft, and a golden yellow color. The condition is excellent. The age is unknown, but old. Including the base it measures 7" by 7 1/2" by 2". The price is $95.00. • This is a hand drawn and painted tribute to the artist's parents on their 50th wedding anniversary. At the top it says "Love, Honor, and Obey". A sign on the wall says "Home Sweet Home", and the couple is talking about their happiness. The man is holding a copy of the Buffalo Lake News with headlines about divorce, while a note on the bouquet reads in part: "Congratulations to Mother and Dad". It is ink, pencil, crayon and tempera on textured paper, in a frame that measures 11 3/4" wide by 14 3/4" high. The visible area is 10 3/4" by 13 3/4". A signature and date are partly hidden by the frame. We can't make out the date for sure, but it looks like '37. The condition is excellent. The price is $125.00. Inventory Code: AAPW. Image ... • This large, elegant, whimsey carved and decorated frame has an exceptional look. It dates from the late 1800's, with applied carved leaves, hearts, ivy, a large scrolled crest, and scalloped layers. Each finial has a freely moving, whimsey carved ring and is topped with an acorn. Shaped columns stand out in front of each side. The dark brown varnish is beautifully crazed. It measures 41" high by 18 3/4" wide by 2 1/2". Inside the frame is the original mirror. • This is a decorative old sled with the image of a comet and the word COMET on the top. It has super colors which have aged well. The paints are blue, red, and silver. The blue handles are set off with dark red rubbery grips. This piece was made from steel, with hardwood supports and a plywood top. It likely was done in the 1950's or '60's and is in very good condition with normal wear and a little rust from use. It is about 62" long by 13 1/2" wide and 6" deep. The handles are 24 1/2" across. • This is an old and large iron gear. It came from Iowa and was probably made in the 1800's. It was painted black originally, and has now lost some of its color and has a dark oxidized look in places. It measures about 18 1/2" in diameter and is marked "Meyer", in excellent condition.
