Here is a collection of old Odd Fellows hanging banners. These are all made of silk on which various fraternal symbols and designs have been intricately machine embroidered. They are all mounted on brass rods with decorative ends. The banners have fringe and tassels on the bottom. These decorative pieces all were made in the early 1900's. The colors are strong and crisp. While there is some slight breaking of the silk in each one, they are in very good condition compared to most of those surviving from this period. The photos show the details, although they also tend to magnify the wrinkles, which are not as prevalent in person. The banners are 19 1/2" wide by 32 1/2" long, including the rod, which is about 24" wide.
